Inspired landscape design backyard, designed by David Reed, ASLA. All the elements from masonry to wood to plants work together in seamless harmony. We were excited to mount our overhead structures on massive masonry columns, most requiring heavy timber construction. Pergolas in the pictures built with 6×12 beams, 4×8 notched rafters with custom designed curved corbels decorating the ends.

Our elegant patio cover and Evergrain Cherrywood decking deck solution transformed this Western exposure, hot afternoon sun, Windsor, Sonoma County back yard into a comfortable, inviting living area. Design challenes of two roof levels, required graceful transition, minimum of posts, no nails or screws on surface meant doubling rafters with custom corbels on the ends and hanging them from a hanging beam.

Building with Ipe Hardwood, Hidden Brackets and Stainless Steel Cable Rail, allowed the stunning view of San Francisco Bay from this Mill Valley deck to be as unobstructed as possible. Among the best deck woods in the world, rot resistant, harder than oak, but one of most expensive deck materials to purchase and install – like building a large piece of furniture.

Azek Brownstone Composite Decking and Fortress bronze tinted tempered glass balusters were chosen to create this huge zero maintenance deck in Santa Rosa, California. Azek decking repels stains and never fades. We used Deckmaster Hidden Brackets to hide screw heads and painted redwood posts to match the dark stain of the redwood siding on the house.

Beautiful Azek “Brownstone” Deck Transforms this Santa Rosa backyard. Working with our client we were able to design a beautiful new deck which maximizes the living space and minimizes the elevation changes of the old narrow, rotting deck which ran along the house, with steps down to a concrete patio. Minimal maintenance replacement was a top priority.

This deck was interwoven with surrounding landscaping, Our client wanted to keep the landscaping close to the house so we designed a freestanding deck with viewing areas that accent amazing views. Rail posts are 6×6 for exceptional strength and a massive appearance. Some areas use tempered glass railing to avoid any obstruction of the panoramic vista.
